[b]Your aims/design style: [/b] Race around a track, crashing into the cars ahead and dropping bombs behind! Watch out for the Guards and Warden, they have much to say in who wins the race. Break out of the inmate holding cells to reinforce your drivers, or capture the Warden to rain hell from above!
[b]Uniqueness: [/b] Race map where killing is the main idea instead of finishing first, similar to a closely named movie, but no civilians are involved. They'll have to wait until "Death Race: Long Beach" to make an appearance :-)
[b]Relevant Experience: [/b]
Idea: Inmates race around the track, attacking ahead, laying waste behind them. The Warden and prison guards have their own ideas who should win. Second place is just the last to die!
Win objective: Control Warden and all 4 guard towers.
Loss objective: Lose all track and pit areas.
Each player has at least 1 pit area. One-way assault to track connected, assault adjacent pit guard. Autodeploy +1 to keep things flowing?
Track randomly assigned except track adjacent to pit area. Tracks assault (crash into) adjacent forward and forward-diagonally (no projectile weapons for inmates!), bombard to the adjacent rear (oil slick, drop bombs, spike balls). No exit from the track - you race, you win or you die! +1 for every few tracks. Track lanes 3 or 4 wide by however many fits going around.
Warden large neutral. Bombards all track positions. Who doesn't wager on their own race? He helps his team win! No bonus.
4 Guard towers (small neutrals). Guards along windows bombard near track areas. Center front guards (medium neutral) connects to Warden, center rear guards connect to holding areas.Towers connected to each other with a catwalk (medium guards on catwalks). Area bonus. Players start with tower guards, say 1 outer guard each on 8 player.
Electrified tunnel from holding area guards to pit areas. Reset or decay. No bonus.
Holding areas, 1 per player in 8 player game, assault area guard. Area guard connects to electrified tunnel and adjacent guard towers. Medium neutral. Area bonus.
Pit guards (medium neutral) assaults adjacent pit areas, adjacent guards and adjacent electrified tunnel. Hold 3 for a bonus?
